Finally, notes that respect your most private thoughts

TRY standard notes

Few things are as personal as the notes we write, so it makes sense they should be encrypted. Fortunately for us, Standard Notes has us covered. They take privacy very seriously, so finally, things like research notes, to-do lists, journals, and all your other written thoughts can be secured with end-to-end AES-256 encryption. Literally nobody but you can ready your notes.

The Standard Notes apps and service is intentionally simple, which I applaud them for. Rather than pack it with features, they've focused on doing a few basic things really well. This simplicity makes Standard Notes valuable for anyone; from students to security professionals. Their apps are great- again, nice and simple- and are available for every device and desktop.

Standard Notes is open source and free, but making a small investment in their Extended version for $35 a year is a nice way to say thanks for making and maintaining such a rad product.

Their features are intentionally few (which I respect) but it is missing some experience-related essential features.

The UX is missing some basics I'd expect like collapsable menus, font size adjustments for accessibility, etc.

This is a no-frills writer; similar in style to iA Writer. It's intentionally sterile, and it accomplishes that well.
